Accomplishments

In her first year as our State Representative, Representative Ashley Gantt has continued her lifetime work of serving our community by standing up for our rights and freedoms by:

  • Securing lactation spaces for mothers in all Florida courthouses (HB87/SB44)
  • Delivering compensation and college funding for Leonard Cure, who was wrongfully convicted and spent over 16 years in prison (HB6001/SB81)
  • Allocating $500,000 to the New Horizons After School and Weekend Rehabilitative Program (HB5001)
  • Working to protect tenants’ rights and preserve Community-Involved Hearings on Development projects (HB1499)
  • Fighting to protect Black history in our schools 
  • Defending women’s reproductive rights
